This book contains early sketches and character designs for the manga, some of which never made it into the story (for example, Diana the Moon Fairy became Luna and Artemis’ daughter). The book also includes new full color illustrations introducing each section, never-before-published color illustrations created for Sailor Moon merchandise, and black & white sketches that served as the basis of anime artwork.
Pages 119-137 feature a non-canon short story called “Parallel Sailormoon” that was later reprinted in collected volumes in Japanese and English by Kodansha in multiple editions. This story is set in an alternate timeline in which Usagi has a second daughter named Tsukino Kousagi who becomes “Parallel Sailormoon”.
Translations of the notes are available at Miss Dream.
